center console latch

It seems to have broke. Button went in and nothing happened. Key does not turn the lock, can pully the button back out maybe 1/8".  Any suggestions or am I going to have to drill it out?

Is it possible to push the button all the way in/through ?

Maybe a lock Smith, they got all kind of tricks.
