I looked at your information about SS 454 Monte Carlo's to try to authenticate it. the car was built in Baltimore and has the BF on the body tag, the lower control arms are boxed, the original air shock compressor is gone, but the level valve is still intact with part of the air line still attached, the front and rear sway are the correct dimensions, it also has the rear bumper rub strip, the engine is not original and I haven't looked for the transmission tag.

With everything I have confirmed I am confident it is a real SS 454 Monte Carlo. The original color was Antique green with no vinyl top with Sandalwood interior, the car is now Black with a Black Vinyl top and still has the Sandalwood interior.

I will post some picks this week.

Steven.

well I crawled under the car and found the transmission tag it comes back to a 67 Chevelle with a 396

I’m kinda bummed that it was not the original transmission but it is what it is.

Welcome Steven. A lot of work goes into these cars trying to get them where we need them to be ( a lot of personal preference there). You have joined a group that actually cares about the cars and the people that own them. We are all here to help with questions, parts allocation and whatever is needed. We also have a tendency to have some fun on the site so be prepared. Welcome again to the best, in my personal opinion, Monte site.

Welcome Steven! Good to see another Floridian, and one close enough to likely meet up someday. Astor is roughly 40 minutes away as I travel through your town on my way to NPD a few times a year. Great looking car!

Welcome to the Club! Nice Monte you have there. Was it a locally owned? I bet that is one healthy Big Block ! Looks like you have some performance pieces under the rear (hochkis)and rear disc brakes. Like the color combo too.IMG_1438.thumb.jpg.9faf796a7eabcb30e6cd2a9a06bce3d6.jpg

Thank you. I bought the car in St Augustine Fl, about an hour from where I live. The previous owner put a lot of work into it, cam, intake, Holley carb, stainless headers, etc etc.

i love the Blue color of your MC

Welcome! Great looking car you have. Certainly appears that it is an SS454 to me.
