Hi Glen and everyone else, the Caprice is my Mothers, she's 84 and always had a lead foot, don't know where I got it from. It's a 66 396 automatic, 7 years ago she was having problems with it so I barrowed it for 5 months, the motor had 3 lobes wore round along with other problems so I put a crate 454 438 HP 500 TQ motor, rebuilt the transmission, took the 308 rear-end gear out and put a 355 in it, at her request she asked me not to put a shift kit in it so her head doesn't hit the back window (her quote), along with painting it I also put disc brakes on the front because she almost drove through the garage because the single reservoir master cylinder was leaking. The center lines were off my 1st 68 Impala.

She loves the hell out of it, all she wanted was to turn key and go, and stop too.

Thanks Willie
