Has anyone ever used the Holley Sniper Fuel Trank Drop in Module for EFI on their Monte?

I bought the tank, fuel line kit with return and a the drop in  unit for that setup when I did mine. I had thought about going that route but I was not sure how old my tank was and would rather be safe than sorry

Thinking about it more, and I was probably being stupid, but....

If I use the inline fuel pump, I think it would be fine to leave the original sending unit in place.

The old fuel pump isn't even in the tank, which you would want to remove and block off anyways.

Keep in mind, EFI systems are more susceptible to fuel starvation if there is insufficient baffling or provisions in the gas tank, especially at lower fuel levels. A carb can weather that storm because of the residual fuel in the carb bowl (during hard cornering, fast acceleration, etc.)

With EFI, if it sucks air, it doesn't run.

I know that well.

Um, I may or may not have had issues with a low fuel tank level, when I was adjusting the IAC on the sniper efi in my 1942 international harvester pickup.

I cannot confirm or deny any rumors that may be out there.  LOL!

Plus the fuel line for the Sniper is larger than stock

I am running the Holley EFI pump (single line) in my 72.  Went above and beyond for the venting because I installed a new stainless tank and the cap is vented but doesn’t seem like the cap vents enough.  I purchased a Vapor Trapper to help.  Absolutely cleared up the smell of gas in my garage and feel like it helped performance.

I am going to put a camera on my fuel pressure gauge and check the pressure just to make sure the Holley fuel pump is maintaining constant pressure.  Will post here when I see the numbers.

Just curious. Would the stock one that was( or is) behind the back seat do the same thing?

Had the canister hooked up before I purchased the Vapor Trapper but wanted to make sure it had plenty of room to breath. When I took the stock tank vented cap and and tried sucking air though it(don’t ask), the new one for the stainless tank didn’t seem to allow as much air.  Plus zero gas smell in the garage when the car sits and the anodized with polished brackets look just so cool.

In case anyone is curious, I steered away from the drop in module, and purchased an external pump.

I like how this looks.  Damn it!  I have already spent my budget!  I have to wait until I get my allowance!

Yup!  That wasn't my issue.  LOL!  I ran it out of gas completely.

What size line did you run?  I ran AN6 and used the Holley#12-303 that spec’s 255LPH matching what they call for but I am having an issue where my engine runs lean at times.  Thinking that might be my issue as well.

Appreciate the info on this!

When I got my Sniper I also bought the dual line kit sold by Holley along with the tank just north of $1,700 for everything and had no added expenses added to that
