Dealer descriptions just crack me up. Trust me Mr. dealer anyone looking at an 80k classic knows what it is. We don’t need the brand new car sales brochure word salad description. What’s Ā with the vents hanging from the dash. At first it looked like an aftermarket AC from a JC Whitney catalog but I don’t see a compressor. Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  Sorry for the rant. Ā

I wasn't even going to post it until I saw the restoration comment 🤣 Even tho I don't have a build sheet I don't ever remember NOS being an option 🤣

I'm sure I could start a new thread for the horror stories we've probably all experienced car shopping 😠

Glen doesn't your garage only hold your two montes? Poor Vicky has to sit outside? I'm sure Amy isn't happy about that, guess its time to build a storage building like Joe did šŸ˜…

Yes, my garage holds the Montes, but Vicky resides in a garage across the alley. Got lucky when a retired coworker moved in about 15 years ago. $50/month for 1/2 the garage is a steal.Ā

I thought with retirement along with your forever home you were looking at recently closed dealerships for garage/with lifts space and property for your toter home and stacker trailer 🤣

I just don't get dealers listing cars showing 100 pic and a ton of text,Ā  asking 80,000 dollars but won't spend 10 bucks to buy a brake pedal pad.

The Parts Place has that trim.

Goes to all that restoration and adds a "SS" badge on the grille? Really?. I like the below dash add-on . What's it for? No Compressor, No SS. I'm still looking at the pictures.... got lost in the write-up. Ok, I'm back.... I get what you mean about no brake pedal pad now. Lot's of things make it look like anĀ original SS but..........Still a nice start to an SS but I too would make a offer.

This car looks ok, however for that COIN... I would continue to search elsewhere.Ā

I've seen quite a few true SS Montes , in a much cleaner condition for much less !!Ā

However, I like the idea of these cars bringing top dollar when probably presented !!

I saw the vents hanging from the Dash, and I was thinking AC was factory for the SS.Ā  Why the hanging vents?Ā  Clone?

I have seen better cars for sale at half the price.Ā  I hope the poor chump that buys it tries the AC before he purchases it.

I keep looking but where’s the compressor?

I think the compressor was removed. I see two round holes in the firewall that have been plugged. I imagine that’s where the AC hoses were routed through.
