The Coke machine was an awesome example of what the First Gen Monte could accomplish on the NASCAR scene !!  Our FGMCC  founder Kevin Wiles had an excellent cloned example of the Coke machine, enough so that Coke bought it !!

Growing up my dad was friends with the Petty family, He would take my brother and I to the shop in Level Cross NC. Every other week. It was right beside of Lee Petty's House and just down the street from Richard's home . I thought growing up that Richard set the moon, he was always so nice to us , They would allow us to go anywhere that we wanted to roam . He also would allow us to crawl into any car that we wanted to sit in.

Because of 116 inch wheel base which set the engine farther back in chassis 

More towards center of chassis
