I'm not aware of that car being owned by anyone on here. It looks nice but some attention to detail is needed.

I did notice something comical though. They have the washer fluid hose hooked to the fiber optic connector on the washer fluid bottle. It should be connected to the line coming off the black cap. This makes me question other parts of this build. Some missing parts here and there.

No SS in '71? we need to educate these sellers! Dash is popped on the driver's side, no compressor for the load leveler?

Volo cars is always extremely pricey. Not just Monte Carlos, look at their two page ads in Hemmings motor news and marketplace. I’m surprised they sell any of them.

They are asking $68,000 for it.  Is it worth it?

I'm curious what the greater FGMCC members think about the values of these cars.  All things being equal, what value would you place on the following three cars if you were selling yours or looking at buying one?

1.  First Gen MC; Standard car with bench seat; 350/350 combo; A/C car; standard power brakes/steering; all mechanicals rebuilt or new with new paint and interior.  Value = $

2.  First Gen MC; SS car fully optioned including 455; all mechanicals rebuilt or new with new paint and interior.  Value = $

3.   First Gen MC; Standard car with bench seat; 350/350 combo; standard power brakes/steering; survivor car - runs and drives but will need new paint/vinyl, freshening up of the drive train and some upholstery work done on the inside; 150,000 mile car.  Value = $

Google: Hagerty Valuation Tool, and you will find 3-4 values there. You can join for free and then you can also see the values for a 1-4 car.

The Hagerty valuation tool on their site is pretty good. The colour combo can have an effect on these values.

1. $30-35k. I suppose the right buyer that likes the specific combination of options and knows how much it takes to restore it to that level might pay close to $40k.

2. $55-75k. Sorry for the wide range here but it can vary quite a bit depending on colour combination and how it is sold (auction vs private sale vs dealer)

3. $15-25k. Depends on amount of rust and what needs repair.

Please note this is just my opinion. I’m not always right… just ask my wife.😁

🙂Value of a car depends on buyer and seller .If both parties are happy with the deal they make then everybody is happy.

Often seller thinks car is made of gold not being realistic and buyer is also not being realistic.

To many people watching the big auctions .Just my 2 cents.

🙂Always remember when you do a complet of frame restoration that you are doing it with best knowledge and ability that you have at the time of restoration.

You restore the same vehicle 25 or 30 years later it will be more stunning.

Because of knowledge and ability that you have gained over the years

Just remember enjoy yourself and do your best
