Zaino system. Works great, zero streaks or haze, especially on black paint. Shines like it just came out of the paint booth.

Never heard of it so I googled it. Very reasonably priced too.

A little goes a LONG way too. More economical than would appear.

Turtle Wax.

Wash car with dish soap at open fire hydrant.

Apply wax by hand using the sponge that came in the tin.

Leave on all day and drive the car around in the hot sun until the carnauba protection gets “baked in”.

Wipe off wax with dirty towels, old socks and newspaper while parked in a liquor store lot. Ignore the excess paste that found its way into trim crevices and the vinyl top.

Tell your homies that the swirls means the wax worked.

Back in the early '90's, my now "ex" brother-in law decided to try Turtle wax out on my T-Type.......

He thought better mine than his, (DICK !!!) and it damaged the hood.... Swirled and discoloured it.

As you can guess, I wasn't very happy about it, but he just blamed it on a poor quality paint job on my car.... A**HOLE !!!

So no, I'd NEVER use Turtle wax.

I used Turtle wax for years. It doesn't leave swirl marks, or didn't for me, when I applied it to a clean, cool surface. Not sure why I switched to Meguiar's, but I haven't looked back. I think I was so impressed by the Meguiar's glass cleaner that I switched products entirely.

Like Larry I'm drinking the Griot's Koolaid. We've started using their ceramic 3-in-1 wax for the daily drivers because it's an easy spray on and wipe off. I was planning on trying their ceramic all-in-one wax on the Monte once it's had plenty of time in the sun.

When I had the Cougar detailed, speaking of black cars. The detailer commented on all the "products" I had on the shelf. Long story short, it's not only the "wax" but also the soap, towels and so on. Now I know nobody wants to go the route of washing, cut and buff, and ending with a ceramic coating.....I had no choice but the cougar never looked better with the numerous products ive used over the years. Just saying

Zaino spells all that stuff out,  recommends what towels to use, how to wash them, etc.

It's a pretty complete system they have, and it works good.

If you never wax it you won’t be disappointed. My theory anyway.
