Took the ‘71 out for a last quick blast and then put her up for the winter. Not too shabby… 52° three weeks into November.  I definitely beat the odds living in Chicago. 

And I’m not sure what happened since last year, but either my garage shrank, or this bubble grew 🤔.  Had to pull in the front of it a tad so the door would close. I probably should’ve had a couple beers BEFORE I started this project. Beer always helps things go smoothly 🤣😂. 

Oh well… this routine won’t be necessary when I find the permanent/retirement home with an insulated and climate controlled garage.

I absolutely love the Barndominium concept. A friend of ours has one, his space is that of a warehouse. Super cool to be able to walk out of the kitchen directly into an amazing amount of space. He has the heated floors and it stays comfortable year around regardless of the weather. It looks like he could put 15 -20 cars in there, he has 3 lifts with vehicles stored on each one , it also has a shop bathroom to keep him from tracking anything inside of the Condo ( which has 3 bedrooms )

There's a private airport just west of here that's full of these places.

They just buy/rent a hanger, build a bachelors suite and a bar/BBQ, and store all their toys there. (I've actually done some work in some of them.)

I'd bet there are more planeless hangers ones used for aircraft.
