It's 29 degrees, sunny, and dry here. I cut the grass/leaves in the yard yesterday.

That being said, I could look South, see the dark clouds and know that they are getting hammered with 'feet' of snow right now (about 15 miles from me). It's a terrible 'Lake Effect' snow storm right now from Buffalo, NY to Erie, PA. Travel bans, Interstate closures, etc.

The lake water temperature is 50 degrees which sets it up as a huge snow making machine. They're getting the same conditions on the other side of the state near Watertown, NY.

They've known the storm was coming all week, put out ample warnings, and hopefully most people heeded the advice to stay home even though it was a holiday. Still, they have shown a lot of abandoned vehicles on the roadways, hopefully those people are safe & no emergency service personnel were hurt rescuing them.

They're still planning to hold the NFL game this evening though, heck of a lot of snow down there though. I imagine they'll be discussing that a lot during the game commentary.

I just found this picture on FB:

Was 20 degrees when we got up this morning at my brother's in Ballston spa he got 8 inches of snow Thursday. Was smooth sailing up the thruway today but did say commercial travel ban from exit 46 and west. We're supposed to get some lake effect tonight tomorrow and next couple days hopefully not to much here. Stay safe everyone affected.

It is 2C (36F) here in Summerland, BC this morning. No snow on the ground yet but you can see it on the mountains in the distance.

A little cool here at the beach. It was 30 degrees this morning and about 50 now . I must say, I certainly do like the bikini weather better than the overcoat season 😂, I can't wait until April 😂

Well the snow finally caught up to us, 😢.

Can't really complain though, a week into December and this is the first snow at my house. Considering the fact 15 miles south of here got a number of feet of the stuff last week (and still snowing), we got off easy so far. Mid-high 40's starting Sunday, into next week and some rain too, that'll make this go away.
