Yeah Joe, I did know that, I was just ribbing a little bit.  Prior to posting my comment about bench racing pictures I did check the weather and say the temperature was not conducive to parking lot bench racing.  

I am glad everyone had a great time and signing new members is always a plus.  I hope everyone made it home safely.

I hope you told the new members about our Carlisle Mini-Meet.  A great way to meet a very large number of members all in the same place and see a lot of First Gen Monte's.

I tell all the new members about all the available meets. More often than not, I tend to call them up so I can get more info when setting up their website access, so that naturally leads to the meet info.

They all get my standard spiel too, get the hotel room reserved, even if you may not go. You can always cancel if not able to go, but you're out of luck if you want to go, but have nowhere to stay... (and leave the room with one of us, don't turn it back to the hotels directly if they have to cancel. We'll see that it goes to another member if needed).

 

Everyone did make it home safe.

We had a group text going with everyone involved, to keep everyone up to date on anything related, such as arrivals, dinner times, etc. It worked out very well to keep up to date in real time. We're planning to do that in Kentucky too, so everyone knows when to be somewhere, when the group is leaving to the shows, dinner, etc. Sort of like a 'Live' itinerary.

The side effect though was the same as happens here often...it gets side tracked a little bit. Pretty entertaining stuff though 😄.

That's also how we kept track that everyone made it home safe.

Just would like to Thank Frank O, for bringing this up to Joe, so they could make this happen! Also a big thanks to Steve L, as the local person who picked fantastic places to eat, whether it was breakfast or dinner!!  Everything worked out very smoothly! We also had a great time with inside bench racing as it was too cold to stay outside. I don't think there was enough adult beverages in the county, to keep us warm enough to stay outside! As everyone said we had a fun time with old friends and even made a few new ones and i think we made them feel at home! Welcome Doni and Amy!!   Cant wait for the next one so we all can catch up on what is going on in our lives and what we are doing on our cars. Glad that everyone made it home safe and sound!!!                                  Nice job guys!!!!

Welcome Doni and Amy for becoming a full dues paying member. Sorry I missed you in Syracuse this weekend. Hopefully you will both join us for our upcoming Carlisle and Syracuse Nationals Mini Meets. Rob runs the Carlisle Mini Meet and I run the Syracuse National Mini Meet. Each show is different and we look forward to having an interesting and enjoyable time. All the info is posted on the Club website. Looking forward to meeting both of you at one or hopefully both Meets. Enjoy all of what this Club has to offer !!!

I really didn’t expect to see a lot of cars anyway. The temps and the salty road conditions would have stopped me from bringing a car too. lol. But I’m happy that some of the group got together and had a great time. That’s all that is necessary.

I doubt that any of the cars or trucks there drove there on the own power ( maybe a couple) most came in on trailers. That's the way this show has always been  but it wasn't about the cars it was about the company, we did have a great time meeting up with friends and getting together for some good meal and good times.

The red 66 chevy truck by the front door won a couple awards,  very nice truck and the guy was a nice guy too. He let me sit down for a bit and we talked a bit too. Awards are on there fb page if anyone is interested.
