I received an email today from Wheel.  Wheel has been a Full Fledged Dues Paying Member of the club for many years, he joined in 2006.  Wheel said I could share his email with the group here.  Here it is:

"Rob,
Well I guess my time to leave the fgmcc has come… not a negative word about the club… but my wrenching days are over and my financial position makes that every penny counts… I’ve enjoyed my membership, the members i’ve met during my visits to the US and the anual gifts. Feel free to relay this mail to the members.. thank you all…
Best regards Wheel…"

I told Wheel if his situation changes he will be welcomed back.

Yes i remember Wheel!!!   If i am correct, last time he was on the boards he smacked his monte up and was looking for parts.

Where was he from Rob Australia, Amsterdam, it was something with an A, if i am not mistaken??????

Good Luck Wheel!! If you ever get back to the US, look us up!!!

I'm still friends with him on Facebook,  that's to bad. Yes he wrecked his car but was working on fixing it but not sure if it ever got finished. He's got or had a very cool mercury too. He's is a character for sure.

We looked into sending a shipping container with the parts he needed to repair his car. Shame it was so expensive. He is Australian.

Really sorry to hear this Rob. Wheel's Monte was truly unique!  If I understand the dates correctly these photos were posted in October, 2017 which I believe would have been after his unfortunate wreck.  If so, it looks like he got it pretty well rebuilt.  Wonder if he still has it?

I remember Wheel and his flat black Monte with the side pipes. Sorry to hear about his situation.

Wishing Wheel all the best. He was always upbeat and seemed to make the best of a situation, whatever it was.

Definitely the most unusual Grill that you will ever see . He made 7 metal skulls that covered the Grill area. Pretty darn cool 😎. As a whole it just complimented the Monte's persona !!! . I certainly hope everything works out for Wheel and hopefully he still has his Monte .
