Dtret Posted June 9 Posted June 9 Let me check. I do know when you try to take them off the plastic has a tendency to break rendering the base garbage. 2 Quote

My bases are bad. I pulled the drivers side off and it only had the one I attached the picture of. And yep, the tab broke immediately upon me putting pressure against it. So only one of the three that are supposed to be there makes me feel like the passenger side is probably similar. Someone did an awful job putting the doors back together after painting the car. 1 Quote

Rob Peters Posted June 11 Author Posted June 11 Just a note to everyone coming to this meet.... I had emailed everyone an itinerary recently plus you will be receiving a copy of that itinerary in your registration folder. I now have a change to that itinerary. The change is going to be the time we will be leaving the club host hotel on Friday morning to caravan to the show field. The time change will be to leave the club host hotel at 7:45AM on that Friday. I got a message and then talked live with Carlisle Events this morning. They have asked us to parade in to the show field together again like we did last year. I did tell them that we will have some members driving cars other than first gen Monte's and I don't feel that will be a problem to join in on the parade onto the show field. Vehicles other than first gen Monte's would more than likely bring up the rear of the parade line. So on Friday, June 20th we will leave the hotel at 7:45 and then form up at the Expo Center like we did last year and at 8:14 they will hold traffic entering the show field and escort our club in all together. This will be discussed at our Thursday Bench Racing. Text reminders will also go our either Thursday evening, Friday morning or both. We think we have almost everyone's cell phone number but just in case, when you check in with the club officers to pick up your registration folder please verify the number we have. Rob 2 3 1 Quote
Rob Peters Posted June 13 Author Posted June 13 I got an email from Tony D today wanting to know about a Saturday afternoon Monte Carlo Parade. I told Tony that I knew nothing about us parading on Saturday. Tony told me it is in the schedule on the Carlisle Events App. I had never used the Carlisle Events App but I have now loaded it. You may want to load the Carlisle Events App on your phone for the most up to date information from Carlisle Events people. I called my contact in Carlisle and he told me that in honor of the 55th Anniversary of the Monte Carlo they will have all years of Monte Carlo line up and parade past the Grandstand Seating. This Parade will run from 2:00 to 2:30 on Saturday Afternoon. You can load the App on your phone, the icon looks like the circled app in the below picture: When you open the app you can go to the schedule icon which will show an hour-by-hour events schedule. The schedule icon looks like the below picture: The below photo shows the Saturday Afternoon Monte Parade. Once we arrive we will get more details on this. Also on their schedule you will find the Gas Gauge Seminar we will he hosting at our club canopy on Friday morning as shown in this last photo: If you are not tech savvy on your smart phone I am sure one of the kids at the meet will be glad to help you out with this. Rob Peters Posted June 15 Author Posted June 15 ((UPDATED DAY WEDNESDAYJUNE 15TH)) I wanted to update you on our GM National Mini-Meet. I also wanted to let everyone know that if you have not made your hotel reservations yet, we will lose any remaining rooms in our block on May 30th, that is only 5 days from today. Today I have added new FGMCC Members of attendees and this has brought our new total to 55 members registered with me to attend. Since the hotel has added some more rooms to our block we still have around 5 rooms in our block. We usually get some members signing up at the last minute so it is good to have this buffer of additional rooms with less than two months until this great mini-meet. That said, in a little less than a month from now, we will lose any rooms that have not been claimed. Below is an updated list the members I have heard from who are planning to attend the Carlisle GM Nationals Mini-Meet. DragCat Posted June 16 Posted June 16 For the NEWBIES 🤣 And yes we have all been one . Bring a lawn chair for the show field AND the nightly gathering at the hotel. In the past it's been HOT, bring a cooler with drinks to keep you hydrated. The club provides bottled water on the show grounds. For me, after 3 waters I'm done, I need a gatorade, Mountain Dew to mix it up. If you enjoy an ADULT beverage, plan accordingly. 🤣 If you're NOT bringing your Monte, get with Rob or one of the club officers to maybe catch a ride with one of the members with their Monte. This IS a GREAT group of people, always willing to help out when asked. 6 Quote

Good call on the hoodie/jackets, a lesson I learned last year at Carlisle. And another quick downpour this year might re-open Dennis's swimming hole, extra socks/shoes not a bad idea. 4 Quote

Dtret Posted June 17 Posted June 17 Cincinnati. Wednesday night and Thursday morning possible extreme wind, torrential rains, hail and tornadoes and heading east, northeast ( my travel route) This doesn’t bode well for an open car trailer. 4 Quote
420ponies Posted June 17 Posted June 17 (edited) The " freshest " car wash around!! Dennis, you just be careful maybe drive around it? If you can track direction. I have done this while day tripping on the motorcycle. Edited June 17 by 420ponies Added content 2 Quote

It’s not the drive I can stay behind it and when I start to head north it will be going more easterly. 4 Quote
