cny first gen 71 Posted December 14, 2024 Posted December 14, 2024 No cats here but no tree either, haven't put up tree since my daughter moved out. Was always my wife's favorite time of year I guess I never got past that, couldn't listen to Christmas music for probably about 5 years or so but I'm getting better now. Actually thought about putting something up this year but I got over that 😅 I'll stick with this. 6 2 Quote

Michael Boyte Posted December 14, 2024 Posted December 14, 2024 This is a small tree that we put up for my mom to look at, she really seems to like it. The whole month of December is quite difficult for us, we lost my dad, brother ,grandfather , grandmother and father in law as well as 2 of our westies in December. We all look forward to a new year 🎊 4 7 Quote

Knowing you and Ann, I know a lot of what the two of you do for and with your Mom. She is lucky to have you. Wishing clear cruising into the New Year. rob 5 1 Quote

I did set the base and put the first section into it and the second to make sure of a good connection for the lights 3 Quote

willie Posted December 17, 2024 Posted December 17, 2024 My job is to get it down along with the other Christmas stuff (it all sits on a platform above the GN). So no one else is allowed!!!!!! lol My lovely wife puts it all together, by herself as the kids are out in their own houses decorating themselves. Used to have a very wide tree, but now i need more room for the gifts as there are 4 grandkids. So the tree is narrow for that reason. I have been calling it a Charlie Brown tree for years, and to this day i hear flake because of that, lol!!! 4 Quote

Seems like we accumulate more each year. And the stairs feel like they get longer 2 1 Quote
Dtret Posted December 17, 2024 Posted December 17, 2024 I got home from work today and Karen had put out a few things. I asked her where the rest was and she politely said “in the basement on the shelves, if you want more go get it”. I went to the basement looked at the shelves and said “ nope”. Back up I went. We both laughed. 1 8 Quote

We went to Valerie’s place in Fla a few years ago for Christmas and evev though we were gone for 2 weeks she still had to decorate like we were having half of the country in for some sort of a party.
