Not a bad looking car overall. The first thing that I look at is the air cleaner ( it's there ) and the stove pipe manifold assembly ...... it's missing and it's expensive !!  I noticed that the sail panels are loosing their adhesion and I didn't see the shock protector plates, they might be there, I just couldn't see them.

I'm not a green hater just don't love it. Looks like a pretty nice car but the fresh paint or undercoating underneath may be hiding some secrets not that a dealer would ever do that 🤔

I also noticed the shoddy undercoating and that the pix were too dark to see if the shock protector plates were there.

And is it just me or does the lettering on the shifter look odd?  Font looks different, like someone put decals/stickers over faded originals.

As for the green?  Looks nice… except that it’s not Lime Green 😁. But it certainly wouldn’t be a deal breaker. If I were to buy it, I’d ask the seller to include a long blond wig and a pack of smokes.  And then I’d go rob a few banks in Florida and Virginia.

Paint and body is always my first concern on classics. While nothing is cheap paint and body will break you faster than anything IMHO

I see what you did there 🤣 But I appreciate the courtesy of blonde instead of grey 🤣

Some reproductions have the wrong font like this one.

Edit: I looked at the photo even closer and see they do appear like decals applied. You can still faintly see the original printing on it.

This is one of those “the more I look, the more I see” kind of cars. There’s many things I see that are changed or missing. Here’s a few odd highlights. The factory upper and lower rear trim is missing with plastic stick on chrome in its place. They ordered the wrong colour PUI replacement interior door panels and headliner. Maybe they had a hard time finding the correct ones. The intake manifold, carb and valve covers are not correct. I’ll stop there.

Overall it looks like a nice car to own and drive. If you were not concerned about factory correctness and want to own an SS454, this car is nice. It is a real SS with the “L” on the Kansas body tag.

Yeah, I’m missing that on my SS too. Maybe someday I’ll deal with that. The red 71 SS I had before this car still had the original stove assembly.

From the photos, it looks to be pretty nice. That said, the  heavy undercoat on the frame and suspension is the first thing I noticed. Can’t believe they don’t have a lift for the underside photos. Can’t see the floors at all. Anytime a dealer is asking, what appears to be a good price, causes me to wonder why.

Wow Aaron, you’ve got an eye like a hawk. Went back to the photos to check it out. Never seen that done before. Not too bad of a temporary fix if they were straight. At Least until you could take a second mortgage on the house to get the correct ones.

You would think that as many talented people here on the forum that someone would try to re-produce the heat stoves for these cars. I know I would be interested in a set for my SS

I thought the blonde wig and smokes were a Mopar option..... ;)

Truth be told, I looked into a Mopar NHRA car awhile ago. Didn't work out.

Car looks to have a pretty good paint job. Car has potential. The inside is kinda a mix and match mess of colors. and underneath need attention.

Plus the things other noticed. But I believe it probably is a real SS at least.
