Depends if its oxidation or they are actually faded. If faded don't think there much you can do. You could try polishing them with a plastic polish and see if it works.

I can't answer your question but I would think paint would not be translucent enough.  You may want to post your needs in our parts for sale/wanted forum, I am sure one or two of our members may have some decent ones they may be willing to part with.

Walter without pics its hard to tell.   Mine were dirty on the inside so i soaked them for a few days in spray nine and water. After that i had a long pipe brush that i bent to fit in the bulb hole and scooped and swiped out everything i could. I remember putting one back in the spray nine and water for a few more days. Then polished outside by hand to get it halfway decent!!!

Hey Walter,

I found that the Testor's model paint works O.K..... But it only comes in those expensive, tiny little bottles. so it's a brush on.

The good news is that there is a "signal light orange", as well as "signal light yellow" and red.

Scott.

I did my front marker lights in yellow because they were to foggy to polish out.Spoiler.thumb.jpg.cd334980d173f023581617f86136cb0d.jpg

Well I'll admit I was confused, not that ive ever mis-named a part 🤣 I even googled them .

Anyway, OPG used to have the turn signal clear lenses, and for a time when not available people were putting the amber el camino lenses in.

If you just want more color from them when they are lit up, just get some low-profile amber 194 LED bulbs for the front, and the same low-profile red 194 LED bulbs for the back.

I just mentioned what worked for me on the "front signal lights"...... I'm thinking it may work for the "front marker lights" as well.  ;)

I hated the fact of wasting a set of good signal lights because they were foggy.....

Just trying to make Montelishi more "carbon neutral".  ;)
