'72 402, Green/black cloth buckets, G67 level control; looking for my old car!

Greetings from Kansas City!

In search of my old car, in hopes of confirming it is in good hands, possibly restored by now? I have owner history and some paperwork to help finish the story on this car!

When I sold it, the car had the original sequoia green paint, tan vinyl top and a gold pinstripe along the top body line. The last I knew, the car was heading to Illinois? Car was optioned with the 402 bb, 400 turbo and 12 bolt open rear end, A/C, black cloth bucket seat (power option added), tilt, sport steering wheel (added option), rear defog, am 8-track player, level control suspension, map light (added option), trunk release (added option), rally wheels (believe original spare was present).

VIN 1K57U2K542358

If you own this car or possibly know where it is, please let me know!

Thanks,

Jim

Welcome Jim !!! Are you just looking for the owner or looking to possibly buy this Monte back?

I am only wanting to find the car in order to pass on some original paperwork I have and to tell the story I know about the car to the current owner.  It was such a cool car, I would love to know it is alive and well!

Forgot to mention, the car was born with a light green top and it was heading to IL around 2002?

Welcome to the group Jim. It’s very thoughtful of you to go through the process of trying to find the current owner just to give them additional info and paperwork on the car. Most would’ve trashed it. Hope you find it. Of course if you’re looking for a Monte for yourself also, there’d be no harm in asking.

I was able to reunite a protectoplate I had with the current owner by posting it here. It took a year or so after my initial post but it can happen. It was great to see it go back with the car again.

That's great Aaron.  That was a long shot but I am glad it worked out.
