1Bad454 Posted February 16 Posted February 16 Does anybody know what these connectors are for? I've already got the A/C controller all terminated (71 Monte Carlo). Quote
Scott S. Posted February 17 Posted February 17 IF I'm reading the diagram right, the harness on the left (T-shaped lt blue, pink, orange) is for the heater resistor.... The harness on the right is for NON A/C heater controls... the fan selection and panel lighting. I'm assuming you've bought a complete wiring harness, which will have wires for both A/C and non A/C cars.... Some of these wires won't get used, depending on what options your car has. 1 Quote
Canuck Posted February 17 Posted February 17 See the bottom right. There’s a couple of relays that should be under the dash. My 71 SS with AC has both these relays. 2 2 Quote

That's a good picture. Ronnie & I have been talking, etc about this, and he said it was a new AAW harness. It turns out the 71 is different than the 70 & 72 as they don't use those relays. The factory service manuals also reflect the 71 having those, but not the other two. Odd.... I replaced my AC harness at the same time and it had a different part number than what he bought, that was the first head scratching moment (AAW doesn't have pics of the 71 harness on their site). Turns out 70 is a different part number too, but not for the relay reasons. 2 Quote
