I Recently bought a 1971 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS454 . Black on Black , slick top , NOM radical 454 , AC removed but is going back on soon , Power windows , power locks , tilt , tachometer  , black cloth ( now vinyl) bench seat column shift . Vin # 138571B229755. , Baltimore built car , BF on trim tag , partial build sheet with the correct SS454 code . All SS454 equipment is in place including rear air ride , compressor , rocker emblems , tail panel , and every SS identification including a partial build sheet with the SS454 code visible. The seller Peter did an awesome job as the care taker of this SS454 . This car will need some paint repairs that my body shop can do in a few days , or go all out on a show quality job , this car had a high end paint job on it at one time ,I will post photos at a later date as we are not sure to what level of restoration this car will get . This car is a blast to drive as it is now and is an awesome street car . Sometimes they are fun to enjoy as they are !  I have been guilty of taking a fun driver that I loved and make a trailer queen that was too nice to drive .  This might be the case here as this car looks like a used car from 1981 .  Its GM Performance parts crate 454 does run on a 50 percent blend of 93 octane & aviation fuel . These photos were taken in Florida by my driver Ricardo ( AKA Fed Ex ) the photo at night and video at night were taken the same day after Fed Ex made it to South Carolina the same day …….. On another subject I am looking to buy a high option 1970-1972 Monte Carlo Convertible project that someone started but has not completed  .  843 496 6322 leave a message for a call back …… Also looking for a white exterior - dark Carmine interior 1988 Monte Carlo T Top that is highly optioned .

I was trying to post a link about I40 opening from NC to TN, but something went wrong. Trying again.

Five months later, NC to Tennessee connection is open, with limits

Sadly, that doesn't look like a smart option just yet.

I've driven on the I 40..... But that was at the Arizona end.

Had to stop and stand on a corner in Winslow, just for nostalgia. ;)

Don’t get overzealous on the trailer. Yes you can haul your car around and that’s great but sometimes you use it when you probably shouldn’t. Ask me how I know. I’m 20 miles outside of Washington DC in Virginia. lol.

I made that mistake last year going to myrtle Beach towing my 30 foot camper, found a different route going back home.

Well if you are 20 miles out of DC, we need to hook up sometime.  I am about 20 miles South of DC.

We can hook up anytime but it’s going to be a long drive for someone. I live east of Cincinnati. I was retrieving another Monte. I’m home now. lol.
