Finally got the grill detailed and reinstalled I am not sure abour the black yet but it sure looks better than that old dirty stuff that was there and I used the rattle can chrome on the parking lights and tjey look much brighter but will not know until I finish putting it all back together. I forgot to paint around the bezels for the parking lamps so they are now ready to paint I just hope I have enough SEM trim black to do them if not then back to the paint store tomorrow for another dose. This is one job I do not think I will ever repeat it was a real PIA

Went all black on mine plus a subtle modification that most people wouldn't notice.

Looks good. Fair placement of the Monte emblem too.

So far only true Monte Geeks like us are the only ones to notice. Those are the kind of custom touches I like.

I remember on my '71, back in the '80's, I had painted mine a gloss black, and then once just past tacky, had lacquer thinner on a rag wrapped around a small 2x4 and ran it on the face to take it off of the front finish. Came out good from what I remember in the day. Wasn't trying for all restored original, just wanted it to look good. Man, I miss that car.

Pulled an oopsie yesterday thought I would polish the parking lamp lens. Used my dremel and that was a $77 mistake it runs at to high of a sped and kinda burnt it so The Parts Place received an order $20 cheaper than OPGI probably more because of shipping from the left coast

Man Larry, that really sucks.  You certainly don't want to put that onto that reconditioned grill.

Just a question, is your Dremel tool variable speed or only one speed.  My Dremel tool is one of my favorite tools.

The lens finally arrived two days late according to the USPS when they feceived the package from the Parts Place. They really look great, so much brighter. Those clear lens sure make a huge difference. Never realized how bad they were until compared to the new ones.

I think when a package goes thru Indianapolis it gets lost in the building. Supposed to have received my internet ordered prescriptions today also and they were shipped 3 or 4 days before the lens and the USPS website showed delivery today and you guessed it have not seen them yet.

That's why shipping costs are insane..... The last item I bought saw more places in one week then I've seen in the last 10 years, some of them were even visited twice !!!  :(
