Murphy Posted March 19 Posted March 19 Hello folks, I've been off this forum for a few years as life took over in a big way. Mostly taking care of family members, who have all now passed. (mother-in-law, brother-in-law, father, sister) My wife and I provided care in ways we never thought we were capable of.........but that's a whole different subject. Anyway, I've been lurking here off & on the past few years and am happy to see so many of the familiar names & cars of people who had helped me to restore/rebuild my 71 Monte. I am now in the process of liquidating a garage full of parts and quite possibly the car also. So if anyone is looking for a part, I'm blowing out everything I've collected the past 15 years. Not expecting top dollar by any means just need to liquidate. Trim parts, 71 grilles and all sorts of things as I'm still unloading boxes. Thanks again for all your help... shoot me an email or text anytime. Murphy 602-397-0238 or murrayrehder@cox.net 9 Quote
cny first gen 71 Posted March 19 Posted March 19 Good to see you, we were just talking about you recently as someone was looking for someone to do rear trim on a 72 and you do a great job on them. Sorry for all the heartache your great people for stepping up to do that it is a very hard thing to do. 4 Quote
MCfan Posted March 23 Posted March 23 Great to hear from you again, Murray!! Sorry for each/all of your family member losses! God bless you and your wife for all you did to care for them in their last days! I think I remember a forum discussion several years ago about having you document the process you used to convert your '71 SBC from auto to 4-speed. Did you ever do that? I know you put a lot of thought, time and effort into getting that project done right and it would a real asset to other club members who might like to do that swap. Wishing you good success in moving your inventory of Monte parts and your '71 also, if that's what you need to do. It will be a really fun car for some First Gen Monte aficionado! All the best! 1 Quote

420ponies Posted March 23 Posted March 23 Welcome back Murray! Life does those things to us. Gotta be strong and come out on the good side of things. Sounds like you have acquired many parts over the years. You're thinking about letting your Monte Carlo go? Quote

She's a great car, but unsure of how to price it. Been searching various sites for other Monte's and am really surprised of what some asking prices are as per their condition. They might look good from 20 feet away but when you see the interior or engine bay, its trash... 1 Quote
