DragCat Posted March 21 Posted March 21 Just saw this one and since Willie is in Syracuse I was thinking lunch https://www.musclecarsforsaleinc.com/used-vehicle-1971-chevrolet-monte-carlo-v8-auto-c-13438.htm Quote
420ponies Posted March 21 Posted March 21 Must be the "Debut".... I'm liking the 12 bolt and 3:31 posi with a SBC. Seems to be running "lean " on those headers. We'll see what is at the"show"..............do some bench racing. 2 Quote
Leghome Posted March 21 Posted March 21 At first I thought they were trying to hide something with that woman being in all of the shots. I wonder if she comes with it? LOL 2 Quote
cny first gen 71 Posted March 22 Posted March 22 I'm sure in the long run she would cost way more than the car 😅 2 5 Quote
Dtret Posted March 22 Posted March 22 I was thinking of buying if she came with it. But then I realized I can’t hide her in the basement ( not the car). Or in the bedroom ( not parts). Karen gives me car freedom but I don’t think she would approve ( she doesn’t like green). 😂😂😂😝 1 6 Quote
Glen Posted March 22 Posted March 22 An ultra rare “Limited”, huh? Sounds more fake than Dennis’s Hat Trick Trio of clones. 2 Quote
Montemedic Posted March 22 Posted March 22 It could possibly be a flood car from the recent Hurricanes and severe flooding in Florida. A lot of classic or collector cars either get totaled, or bought cheap, then resold. They usually get resold before any rust or water damage appears. A bunch of these type of cars appear in and around the storm areas or local surrounding State(s) within 3- 12 months after the event. Something to be aware or think about. The undercarriage is unusually clean underneath, besides the spray painted exhaust pipes and mufflers with rusty turndowns in the photos. It is a special car too, as I have never seen a “Limited” first generation Monte Carlo before. Look at the emblems on the 1/4 panels in the photos. I would have to really look at it in person to determine if it was or was not. Just my observations, thoughts and 2 cents from the photos shown. 3 Quote
Marks71 Posted March 22 Posted March 22 It has some nice curb appeal. That being said, the vinyl top is failing along the trim in the trunk area. Someone’s idea of a custom touch by putting the Limited plate and crest on the quarters does not work. No heater hoses. Bad core? The freshly painted engine (missing the flywheel cover) makes those headers look even worse. But for 17.5k, (if it’s not a flood car) I guess those types of issues could be expected. 2 Quote

Or the one where Homer went and worked for Uncle Herb (voiced by Danny Devito) designing cars? I recall Rack and Peanut steering, but the episode escapes me. Yeah… I grew up on the Simpsons 😂 2 Quote
Scott S. Posted March 22 Posted March 22 Yeah, the extra badges on the sail fin stood out in the wrong way. I also noticed the salegirl added a couple photos of just her boots in the slideshow....... Wonder if she's targeting anyone "special" ??? 1 Quote

Get them to switch brands, less walking. 😝 1 Quote
Scott S. Posted March 22 Posted March 22 They don't look that comfortable for walking.... But then again, I can't see them sticking out from under a car either. 1 Quote

Yeah… I grew up on the Simpsons 😂 Mr. Plow. Great episode. 🎶 Mr. Plow, that’s my name, that name again is Mr. Plow 🎶 “The Homer” was another great one. “I want a horn here, here and here. Good points.....I thought IIRC after Katrina (probably depending on state) if a car got totaled the new title was issued as "salvage". Of course some states only require a "bill of sale" on classics 1 Quote
