DragCat Posted March 27 Posted March 27 Not sure how I feel about the blacked out bumpers ..... https://www.supersportclassics.com/vehicles/1351/1972-chevrolet-monte-carlo 3 Quote
Dtret Posted March 27 Posted March 27 I’ve always liked the ‘ black out’ look. But this one may be too much. Now I’m conflicted. 😐 3 Quote
jft69z Posted March 27 Posted March 27 Too much. That lone rear 72 only trim set in the back looks out of place. Has a 'Custom' remote side mirror, but doesn't look like the correct rear suspension pieces to go with it. 3 Quote

Where are the ‘Custom’ emblems?, I could use those. lol. 2 3 Quote
jft69z Posted March 27 Posted March 27 I'm looking at it from a cell phone, didn't even notice that stuff (I'm not home). Good catch. Still, doesn't look like boxed rear arms, or sway bar, but who knows. 5 Quote
willie Posted March 27 Posted March 27 Not picking on her but if your going to black her out, that should mean everything, not by leaving some chrome and some aluminum. My .02!!! 3 Quote

Marks71 Posted March 27 Posted March 27 Has the look of a GN. I agree with Joe on the trim. The grill too. Needs a bit of attention underneath also. But even they refer to it as a fixer upper, which seemed a bit unfair. But maybe there’s a little more to the dark photos than meets the eye. More Armorall! 1 Quote
MCfan Posted March 27 Posted March 27 Well ... it's different! Reminds me of a High Schooler's project car. Not sure how you would "fix it up" from here but that's not my problem ... 😬 3 Quote
502ci Posted March 27 Posted March 27 Sitting in my vehicle on lunch viewing this on a sunny day with my phone...all I can see is a black shadow of a car, lol. 2 Quote

Now I’m conflicted. 😐 My first "blacked out" vehicle was a 96 Bronco, funny that's when they started charging extra for painted bumpers over chrome. I refused to pay extra for the "blacked out" bowtie emblems on the trucks. But I'm with Dennis on this one, just something seems off. 1 Quote
