Rob Peters Posted April 8 Posted April 8 Well, this morning we had wet roads that froze and then some light snow causing accidents all over the place which has put the salt trucks back out spreading rust enhancer onto the roads so even if it now warms up we will need a little rain to clear this so we can take our Monte's out. rob 3 2 Quote

We have rain coming in tomorrow afternoon and through Saturday morning so it should wash it all away. rob 1 Quote
cny first gen 71 Posted April 8 Posted April 8 Yup the salt trucks were out here too so a few more days of delay. We got about an inch or two here so far and still snowing but supposed to stop tonight some time. 2 Quote
Glen Posted April 10 Posted April 10 I’m completely in awe that they didn’t throw down salt here as it almost touched freezing after raining. Looks like smooth sailing from here… Temperature is steadily climbing into the 60s next week (calling for 73 on Monday). It’ll soon be time to break open the Monte bubbles. Now I just have to find time to do it. 5 Quote
willie Posted April 10 Posted April 10 Good for you Glen we will barely scratch the surface of 55-60 degrees all of next week!!! 1 Quote
420ponies Posted April 10 Posted April 10 It's showing snow on radar, but nothing on the ground .............. yet. I'm sure the county boys are justa 'ichin', to put some of the nasty on the roads here. I saw motorcycles out last night? Quote
Rob Peters Posted April 10 Author Posted April 10 With rain today, tomorrow and Saturday it will be enough to remove any of that salt they spread a few days ago will be gone. The weather looks a little cool on Sunday but bright sunny and there is a car cruise about 45 minutes from home so I may get to attend my first event of 2025. I should be able to finally cruise down the road with tunes playing in my Monte!!! rob 5 Quote
Scott S. Posted April 10 Posted April 10 Does anyone remember G.M.'s optional Traction Enhancement systems they used to install on Camaros in '69 ??? The nozzles in the rear wheelwells and the replaceable cartridges. 1 Quote
Marks71 Posted April 11 Posted April 11 Sure do, not optioned on mine though. Mines been a California car all its life. It was called Liquid Tire Chain. I believe there were only 188 sold with that option. Quote
Scott S. Posted April 12 Posted April 12 Not a lot of snow at the beach..... It wasn't many, but I remember seeing it in a sales ad. Quote
