Hire an inspection service. I did when I bought my ‘70 and it was money well spent.

I did the same on the Cougar. Had a long conversation with the inspector regarding Cougar specific details prior.

Just an fyi in case anyone here is interested. Holly sniper system recall….besides the fact they don't work well to begin with.

Thanks Jim. A lot of members are using the Sniper setup. I believe they had a problem with the original also.

Mine is working fantastic now that I have new heads on that SMB with the roller cam and HEI

But before the new heads we fought it first well over a year.  The old heads had four broken inner valve springs which destroyed the valve seals which in turn kept fouling the 02 sensor causing it to never run right. I thought I was one of those guys 😆
