Auburn852 Posted April 21 Posted April 21 I started the refresh of my Monte I Nov 23.  Many of you have seen the various levels of progress.  It is now time to do a repaint.  Maybe be ready for Carlisle?   Last time I painted the car was 1990.   I hope I am doing things better this time around.  That kid back in 1990 put too much paint in the rear tail lights it was terrible to strip and blast out!  Well here are some progress photos 15 Quote

Auburn852 Posted May 21 Author Posted May 21 For buffing I'm using the new meguiars 100 and 200.  Big improvement over the old diamond cut and the 110 210 products.   I'm like the workability of the 100 and 200.  For those interested 3 Quote
420ponies Posted May 22 Posted May 22 I'd like to do my car again, Hasn't been done since 2008. I think I'd burn it since I've never worked with a polisher. Is it true most body shops can mix your color and put it in a spray can ? Quote

Is it true most body shops can mix your color and put it in a spray can ? Paint stores can do that Jim but color may not match perfect so be careful where you use it. The hood on my car was made at a different place as the rest of the paint was and doesn't match perfect but it's pretty close. Was a different brand of paint too so that's makes a difference. Quote
