Any SS cars NOT customer ordered?

Every build sheet I have for SS cars show customer ordered, I don't remember talking to anyone who saw one on the showroom floor or on the lot when new. Don't  think Chevy pushed the cars too hard. Just had to know they existed to order one. Unless someone  proves me wrong.
