Near the mountains to the south and west and a couple hours from Virginia Beach, close enough to Williamsburg and other historic sites. Not sure when you will be arriving in Virginia but it sounds like you will be there soon. That is a good thing, you may want to consider joining us at our GM Nationals Carlisle Mini-Meet, the timing sounds great and only about 3 hours or less drive in your Monte. Or you could come in a modern iron rob 1 Quote

Thursday June 19 to Sunday June 22nd. We will lose any unclaimed rooms on I think May 19th. If thee are no rooms I would do my best to see if the hotel would be able to help us out. rob 1 Quote

Rob I arrived in Fredricksburg on the 14th. I'm trying to get settled and find a place to call home. The Monte is due to arrive this week but I don't think I can bring it to the nationals. If my house hunting allows I would like to take a one day trip and attend Carlisle without it. I'm thinking of arriving on Saturday and returning back on Sunday evening. If there are rooms available for that time frame. If available I would need a room with 2 queen beds as my son and wife will be attending with me. Please advise and hopefully I can get to visit with you and the other Monte folks. Thanks Kevin 2 Quote
Rob Peters Posted May 17 Posted May 17 Hi Kevin, Glad to hear you have arrived in Virginia and the Monte arrived safely. Do you know what day you would come up to Carlisle? So, you will not be staying overnight correct? Rob Quote

Rob I would be driving in early on Saturday, staying overnight and departing on Sunday so i would need a room for Saturday night. That said due to the events in Kentucky if you need to accommodate someone else for the entire weekend, please take care of them FIRST. Hope to see everyone soon. Kevin 1 Quote

Kevin Kevin, I hope to be able to talk with the hotel general manager today to find out exactly how many rooms are left in our block and if they will be able to add any rooms. The way I look at it at this point is if there is a room available for Saturday night you should snag it. I hope you can get there very early Saturday morning and maybe meet us at the hotel to caravan to the show field. We would leave the hotel, hopefully around 8:15AM. rob 1 Quote
kpcsgasp Posted May 19 Author Posted May 19 UPDATE: Monte has landed in Virginia. Due to my searching for a new house, I have to store it for a while. I'm trying to make it to Carlisle to attend the show without it. Hope to meet some folks there! 7 Quote
