does anyone have a solution on how to take the sticky grime off the panel? And possibly shine it up? Thanks

I’ve tried that already,

didn’t see any difference

Let it sit on it for a few minutes. Dawn dish soap does wonders!

Personally, I would avoid anything abrasive like a scrub pad. Even one of those Mr  Clean Magic Erasers would be too abrasive

I agree soaking in dawn would be the best. I sprayed mine with clear as well.

A used one has less abrasion..... Just be sure you've rinsed all the bacon grease out of it. 🍳

For me, even a used one would not be my choice.  Like others have said, Dawn Dish soap would be my first choice.  Before I would use anything abrasive I would take it to a good detailing shop and maybe pay them to do it.

It's all in the touch.....

The "detailing" guys never let you see what they use to do the job.

Worked in one of those drive through places 40 some years ago.

They used to solve the scratch issue with a clear coat spray, most customers never noticed the difference.

But yes, soaking in Dawn is still the best choice. ;)

What I am wondering if what you are seeing on that burlwood dash panel is a buildup of Armorall products.  Back in the day people used that stuff on so many things on the interior of these cars.  Yes, it made the upper dash pad shine like there was no tomorrow.  The problem is they kept doing that and eventually the buildup created a sticky mess that was very difficult to remove.  People not only used it on dash pads but also vinyl seats, door panels, console's and yes, even the dash itself.

Po of mine used that stuff on everything. Took a couple years to get it all off the sticky plastic. Only armor all product I use is wheel cleaner on my truck, that works pretty well.
