420ponies Posted April 24 Posted April 24 Let it sit on it for a few minutes. Dawn dish soap does wonders! 3 1 Quote

1Bad454 Posted April 25 Posted April 25 I agree soaking in dawn would be the best. I sprayed mine with clear as well. 2 Quote

Before I would use anything abrasive I would take it to a good detailing shop and maybe pay them to do it. rob Quote

The "detailing" guys never let you see what they use to do the job. Worked in one of those drive through places 40 some years ago. They used to solve the scratch issue with a clear coat spray, most customers never noticed the difference. But yes, soaking in Dawn is still the best choice. 1 Quote
Rob Peters Posted April 26 Posted April 26 What I am wondering if what you are seeing on that burlwood dash panel is a buildup of Armorall products. Back in the day people used that stuff on so many things on the interior of these cars. Yes, it made the upper dash pad shine like there was no tomorrow. The problem is they kept doing that and eventually the buildup created a sticky mess that was very difficult to remove. People not only used it on dash pads but also vinyl seats, door panels, console's and yes, even the dash itself. rob 1 Quote
