Front bucket black inner seat belts - found

Could someone sew a piece of leather or some other material, into a cover that would slide over the seat belt?

Do the standard front seat belts have the automatic retractor or is that only for the deluxe seat belts?

Mine has the automatic retractor for the outsides of the front seats just inside the doors.

With as many members we have here who probably have first gen Monte parts cars, that they don't have a set of the inner receivers for bucket seats.

I don't know about 72 it may have been improved for 72 but yes for 71 with the optional deluxe safety belts.

My 71 Deluxe option had a fixed length Female end that has the release button with a smaller release button and an automatic tension retractor / roll up on the other Male end.

All seats have the retractor by the door. The bucket seat belt ( next to the console) is short and has the vinyl cover to help keep it from falling between the seat and the console. Bruce’s picture is correct for the deluxe you have the standard. I went through the same ordeal with my car. The inners were tough to find. Ironically I have a ton of seat belts but none of the inners you’re looking for. The guy I bought all these parts off of was a swapper and most anything good was sold ( I didn’t get any buckets either 😞).

Beings that I couldn't find just the inner front bucket seat belts by themselves, I just caved and ordered a set of black 3 pt front bucket seat belts from Morris Concepts. Buy once, cry once!

Do they still offer the buckle in the smaller size that looks just like the OEM deluxe belts,  and do they still ask if it's for bench or bucket seats?

I really like them because prior to getting them I NEVER used the shoulder strap belt in my 71 Monte.

Isn't it nice when we spend someone else's money? I'm the type that buys once, loses it (no where to be found), go buy another, then find it 2 weeks later!...... must be that old thing happening again.🤔

Yes, it's the smaller starburst buckles on the bucket and bench 3 pt seat belts.

I wish it was someone else' money, but I end up paying for it.

Back when I bought my MORRIS belts there was the GM logo option (shown in this picture) that I paid extra for.
