Sorry so long, I recently replaced my 12 bolt rear due to failure, purchased a 9” rear direct replacement from Currie. Had to convert from drum to disk as old drum wouldn’t fit axle tubes. Question is when converting from drum to disk, do you need to add or replace existing proportioning valve for different pressures? Any additional info from people using a 9” rear is also welcome.

Thanks in advance.

Yes you will have to change the proportioning valve with one that is for disk/dish brake I think I got one from inline tube that replaced the factory one with no modifications needed. Good luck

You may want to consider an adjustable prop valve too, if you're adding rear discs. It'll let you tailor the braking force so the front & rear wheels work together, instead of hoping the fixed prop valve works correctly for your application.

I've used the Wilwood unit a couple of times, no issues.
