So I just got my  car back from having the body swapped, and I noticed my gas tank has a plug in it. I’m guessing it’s not supposed to look like this? It’s a 72.

Hey Dan, all those feeds get a hose. but before you even do that you have to get under there to look at the tank. Your tank for a 72 should have 2 feeds at the ends of each side of the tank. If it doesn't, that's the wrong tank. If your tank does have them check the manual for the diagram and it will show you what hoses go to what feeds!

Gas tanks are fresh on my mind as I just replaced mine last week....72's have 3 vents, 1 on each end and 1 in the middle - all 5/16 size. The sending unit will have a 3/8 fuel supply and a 5/16 return line.

From a 71 and there is a small plastic restrictor in the hose where it says vent pipe. I almost threw mine out!!!
