Pretty cool, I am sure if it was a 512 block that amount would be at least twice as high!  Tkx Mark!

I picked up 2 of those exact engines in the late 80's, but they were painted black by then. I still remember the GM part number , 366250.

One is in my current Monte, and the other is in the 69 Z/28, but that one is modified quite a bit. Came with everything from a water pump to a manual trans flywheel, and a high rise aluminum intake to 5 quarts of oil in the pan (with GM EOS -Engine Oil Supplement). I found out it had oil when I spun it around on the engine stand to pop the oil pan off to check all the clearances......Yep, all the oil drained right out the top of the engine onto the floor....:ack2:

My crate came with no oil, probably an old EPA rule since the 80's 🤣

Another specialty tool (priming the engine) I may use sometime in the future 🤣

I see that this sold for $11,750.  This was in a little better shape than my LS-7 (XCH) as it had an intake and water pump to help seal.  I paid $7500 in 2020 for reference.

The LS6, while factory rated at 450 HP was realistically about 525 (same as the 426 hemi).  The LS6 did better off the line, but the hemi came on strong at the end due to better breathing apparently.   Cool Stuff.
