jft69z Posted May 23 Posted May 23 Thank you Jay, for becoming our newest 'dues-paying' member as well! It was great talking with you on the phone today, and like I said, if you ever need help or have questions, I'm just a phone call away. Joe T 3 Quote
Canuck Posted May 23 Posted May 23 Welcome! This club is a great resource. As for the forum, we all had to learn how to use it at one time. You’ll get tge hang of it. If there are a few specific parts you need, you can start a new post for each in the for sale forum. For example if you were looking for a fender make the title of your post “Wanted 1972 driver’s side fender” then go into further detail in the post. If you have a long list of parts needed, you could just create a post titled “Wanted 1972 parts” and then have a list of what you need in the post. There are several members here with parts but be patient because not everyone checks the site every day. People may either let you know what they have or give advice on where to find it. 4 Quote
Dtret Posted May 23 Posted May 23 Welcoming Jay. I have a ton of parts, as do other members ( Leo, Jared, Steve and Gene, just to name a few). Do as Aaron posted and between all of we should have some, not all probably. 2 Quote

Glen Posted May 24 Posted May 24 Welcome, Jay… you’ve found a great club and site here. As has been said already, if someone here can’t help you directly, they’ll be able to point you in the right direction. 2 Quote
willie Posted May 24 Posted May 24 Jay Welcome to the best First Gen Club!!! We are all here to help, so don't be afraid to ask!!!! Just a heads up, if the door is sagging really bad the hinges might be shot. The pins wont help if the hole has been worn completely! So just check that before you purchase any more parts. 1 Quote

cny first gen 71 Posted May 24 Posted May 24 Have someone grab the back of door and lift it up while your looking at hinge you'll see where the movement is. It's probably at the pin. You'll need the pin and bushing kit available at almost every parts store. It's not a real hard job. 1 Quote
