It seems to be at least a year since I’ve seen this one. Can’t forget the separate photo of the armrest pad and door pull strap escutcheon missing from the passenger door. Were the factory welds on the lower trailing arm boxing inserts that sloppy? Highly questionable that it’s a real one. Even with if it was, with all the mods it would be pretty much meaningless. Except for the SS emblem and the stripes, it looks pretty nice though.

I hope it WAS a legit SS that some buffoon butchered and then sold all the parts.  So we can go ahead and subtract another from what’s left of the 3,823 made, theoretically increasing the value of those that remain. I wonder what Stone Cold would say about all this…

Its hard to say if it was ever a real Monte Carlo SS, but It is certainly not one anymore.

Crossin the highway late last night.  I didn’t look left I didn’t look right I didn’t see the station wagon car.  The skunk got squashed and there you are. You got your dead skunk in the middle of the road, dead skunk in the middle of the road, dead skunk in the middle of the road. Stinkin to high heaven.    I’m friends with louden.  He’s a great guy.

Well ... it IS a restomod and it seems to me it has been pretty well done!  The stripes are unnecessary but at least the original body lines have been preserved. I doubt the builder will make much of a profit, if any, on this one.  Having owned and driven a stock '70 SS for eight years, I would love to drive this baby and note the difference in performance with it's upgraded drivetrain!  Now, if I just had an extra $50K laying around .... 😄
