It's been 10 weeks since my heart attack. Past my stress test, blood work all normal. Will be going back to work in 2 weeks.  Started to clean the rear end. Have the floor cut out. Bits of bracing removed. Inner rockers cleaned up. Next onto the toe board area. Then put in patches to prep for the new floor. Been waiting along time for this. Feels good

They never do. Ask me how I know. lol. Glad you feeling better. I’ll bet you’re raring to jump in head first but take it slow for a while. It will get done.

All I can say is,Wow! Never seen this done before. Looks like you are on your way to getting after it! I sure do hope you have some help there for the install. Lots of bracing I can see. Do they make the cross braces? Probably all "A" body stuff. She was a little crusty under there at one time. Good to see another saved. You just take it easy, those life changes effect how we do things after they happen.👍

Bought the floor pan with all the braces welded in. Remind myself every day to take it easy. My wife Mona says I have to. She's not done with me yet.

Sorry to hear about your heart attack and glad you are feeling better.  Like others have said, don't over-do it... ask me how I learned that.

Great job on the bracing to keep everything in alignment.  Time spent on that will pay off for sure.  Keep up the great work.  Thanks for sharing your pictures.  Things like that help others.

Robert, Sorry to hear about your medical issues. Slow and steady wins the race. Depending on how you’re feeling, work at your own pace. Nice progress and metal work happening there. Thank you for the photos and let us know how you progress with this project.

Robert,

I'm glad you're feeling better!

It looks like you're having great progress on a daunting task of replacing the whole floor panel. I got lucky on my 72 and it only needed some rust repair in the bottom corners of the rear window channel, which my body shop friend did one side, and I did the other.

Finally, my car was sprayed with epoxy/high build sand able primer this last Saturday. My same body shop friend just ordered a brand-new inflatable paint booth and fans, and while we wait for those to show up next week, I'm going to install the new headliner in my Monte, and then install the back window and the new windshield.

Sure it does..... And I've got the legal documents to prove it. ;)

Then you have no honey. Can’t have one without the other.

Sure you can....

All you need to do is find one with her own money, and at this age she's just happy to just enjoy your company.

No strings attached.  ;)

True, they are few and far between. But at this stage of life it's the little bonuses that matter.  :)
