Elevation does play a big role in your carb jetting.....

Montelishi's carb was tuned for close to sea level, so being up here near the mountains really changed things.

Holley, like Edelbrock, has a jetting chart that could be of some help setting them up for all conditions.

Stuck in the motor mounts ????

I got her up, Scott, but she didn't get as high as I thought. Good thing I did. The one of the motor mounts is f****** loose as %$/_ i think I'm gonna have to take the mounts off the motor to get a 2 / 4 on there. So it sits on top of the frame, or else I was thinking, if I get a hardened bolt to go through the eye holes on the motor mounts, it should get me high enough up.I would hope to pull the oil pan.I don't know yet

In other words, I need to replace the motor mount, so it was a good thing i'm doing all this

That's the "joy" of tinkering with old cars.....

Once you start, you'll never stop. ;)

I've got a collection of 2x4 and 2x6 chunks just for occasions like the one you're enjoying.

Just make sure everything is solid before you get to far into the job.

If one motor mount is bad, then the other won't be long for the world either. I'd just change them both now, and hopefully you won't have to worry about them again.

Yeah, it's pretty crazy because the one is like ovald, so definitely going to change both even on the mount on the frame
