This is for a 1970 Chevrolet Monte Carlo with 15" Ralley rims and a QA suspension.

This is what Bear Support (Cough Holley) Said I needed to convert my brakes to 4 wheel disk.

I have a 12 bolt rear end.

Did you ask the support rep how much of a commission they get from those way overpriced parts?

Actually, that is less than 1/2 what I was recommended to get if I was to purchase Wilwood brakes.

I used BAER front & rear discs on my Monte, but a different setup because I have 17" wheels. I was very impressed with their products, available documentation, and customer service. Wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

I used the Wilwood on the Camaro, because I kept the 15' wheels on that one.

I've been kind of curious about this topic....

Been tossing around the idea of going to an "OEM" caliper set up, Wilwood sells one for about $600.00 (can), but I can't find the equivalent from Baer.....

I like the idea of the two piston unit.

Do they sell them ???

And which one would be the better choice ??

I am really not sure.  i am still talking with them to get an idea of the differences as there has to be a reason why Wilwood is twice as much.

I just spent roughly $2k to put Wilwood on all for corners. That includes the master, all the plumbing, brackets, calipers, pads, rear disks, proportioning valve, and the parking brake kit parts. Well worth it.

I had a cheaper brand of 4 wheel disc brakes for a long time, but they never worked as well as I thought they should. It barely felt better than factory.

Not that Baer would be a bad choice, but the difference in price seems minimal when you consider I also got a master and valve.

I have that set up minus the Baer MC. Everything fit nicely but I haven't finished installing everything to give any feedback on performance.

It has been a while since I priced it out, but this is what I was looking at for Wilwood.

I wonder why my parts were so much cheaper? My local hot rod shop is the one who ordered the parts for me, and I was able to inspect everything after it arrived.

Just checked my invoice, the parts total was $2120 and that included two DynaFlo mufflers.

I didn't need anything but the Wilwood calipers for the front as my front rotors were suitable and in good shape, so maybe that is the difference?

Wilwood says everything fits, I'm just curious if Baer sells the same package.
