Many of you have probably visited Yellowstone Park but it was a bucket list thing for us. So after the WM we decided to take the 4 hour detour over to West Yellowstone and tour some of the park in the 71. The park did not disappoint but man is it a busy place. One thing I found to be very interesting is that the surface of Yellowstone lake is at 7733 ft above sea level.

Interesting how your '71 almost blends into the blue of the lake.  :)

Yellowstone lake has a Mulsanne hue to it.😃

Lake Louise has a slightly lighter hue.... Might be a closer match. 

There's a summer project. 

Travel to all the mountain lakes, take a picture of your Monte, and see which one is the closest colour match.  ;)

Great photos! Looks like a nice drive through there.

I tried to do some lake colour matching during the meet too.

Now there's a great idea !!!

Take a whole range of blues and see who matches what.

I can promise you that I will never go out searching for a lake view that matches my 72. lol. 😝

Actually, Moline Lake/Canyon (near Jasper) has a turquoise hue to it... Depending on the weather.
