I remember the older version.

Basically looked like someone had pop riveted 3 loop connectors together..... 

But the nice thing about them was the fact that they could be rotated to aim in the direction the wire was coming from.

I found some of those too, but I wanted something a little different.

The insulated cover is a nice touch..... Gives it a cleaner look.

Those are nice and way better than anything available a few years ago. If you want a cleaner look you can always use shrink wrap which comes in various sizes.

I have used the butt connectors, and other of the same style, and I always use heat shrink over them to keep the look as clean as possible.
