1Bad454 Posted July 26 Posted July 26 Does anybody make a repair adapter that fits on the end of an accelerator cable? I was trying to clamp my end because it wouldn't grip on the ball stud and it broke.. 2 Quote
Dtret Posted July 26 Posted July 26 I don’t think there is a legitimate repair for that but I’ve seen ( and done) some “ get you by crap ‘ repairs. My suggestion, sorry, replace it. 5 Quote
714024SPEED Posted July 26 Posted July 26 I have to agree to replace it. I don't think you could repair it and not have a problem with it later. 4 Quote
willie Posted July 26 Posted July 26 Ron i agree with others as i tried to take that clip off once, got it off but couldn't get the one off the spare cable, So i just got another cable!!! 4 Quote
MC-71 Posted July 26 Posted July 26 I assume that cable is after market. I would complain about how it failed. The metal is probably soft metal. Try finding a NOS Cable. 5 Quote
1Bad454 Posted July 26 Author Posted July 26 Thanks for the input gentlemen. Yeah what a piece of junk.. I think I bought it at The Parts Place. Now I'm wondering where I can find a good one.. 3 Quote
Leghome Posted July 26 Posted July 26 The last time I bought one it was at a GM dealership. I had to shorten it about 3 pr 4 inches but just used one of those clamps you crimp to hold overhead door cables but slightly smaller and I have had to do that twice because of going from a Holley to Eldebrock and it worked very until I went Holley Sniper then I went with a Lokar aftermarket kit 3 Quote
Scott S. Posted July 26 Posted July 26 Worst case, you could drill it through and put a threaded post on the linkage..... But that's, like Dennis said, get you through crap. 2 Quote

willie Posted July 28 Posted July 28 Greg is correct, small block cable will not work on a BB set up. 1 Quote
