Hood Insulation question

Has anyone installed the insulation "upside down" with the smooth side showing? I think it looks cleaner......

I removed mine completely. I can't say I've ever seen it that way but I really don't pay that much attention to them.

When I had that on my hood I did have it upside down. Looks better.

When I replaced the liner, I took a long piece of string and wove it between the hold in clips. 

Something just help hold the pad up from sagging. 

Kind of a neat looking geometric pattern that's had a couple of comments about at the local cruises.
