keith72monte Posted August 11 Posted August 11 It has been on there for awhile. No power windows or locks. but fully loaded lol, at 55k I would want all options. Getting into Chevelle money there. 40k is a reasonable price. Missing air cleaner and heat riser. No picture of compressor on inner fender. I bet if someone offered 45k it would get sold. The Chevelles are driving up the Monte prices. If only i could hit the lottery and make 55k sound like pocket change lol 3 Quote

Must have been replaced? Sure looks nice though. 1 Quote
Canuck Posted August 14 Posted August 14 It’s nice but the missing sail panel emblems and missing trim above the rear bumper make me question some of their attention to detail when it was re-assembled. 2 Quote
keith72monte Posted August 23 Posted August 23 Yes I agree. I just had to deal with that problem. It wasn't easy to get trim off and slide back on. Deff. a job for a body shop. If they scratch the paint . they can fix it. My car is a driver older repaint. I had to peel back the top. Then i opened the holes slightly for the barrel nuts to snap in flush. Then i stuck a phillips screw in the holes and layed the vinyl top over the holes and used a carpet cutter to make holes in the vinyl. Then i had to reglue the top. Then the tricky part getting the trim back on. I struggled getting trim to slide back and forth to make trim line up. new clips from parts place we're too tight a fit. Deff. would not pay 55k and no power windows and probably have to pay another who knows what to get those sail emblems on, at a shop around my area. Don't even want to guess. That is why i would not buy another vinyl top car. Either get one from the west coast , or one that has been in the garage all the time. It makes a difference to work on and build your own car. But when you've done it a few times, It's nice to find one all done and just enjoy driving it. 1 Quote
