Marks71 Posted August 13 Posted August 13 In the cars and parts for sale section I noticed the Monte for sale had 1 horn. Not the first time I’ve seen this. Mine and most others I’ve seen has 2. Haven’t looked at mine closely, but I’m assuming ones high and ones low to create a specific tone. Does anyone know why some have 1 and some have 2? Quote
Dtret Posted August 13 Posted August 13 I don’t know why and I don’t think you could order the horn configuration. But I do know that I have seen a lot more of them with one horn. 1 Quote
Rob Peters Posted August 14 Posted August 14 When the 70 Monte's were released they all came with the dual tone (1 high tone/1 low tone) horns BUT 71 and 72's came with only 1 horn. There may have been exceptions and I have seen a lot of people with 71 and 72's who have added the additional horn. rob 1 Quote
Marks71 Posted August 14 Author Posted August 14 I’ll check and see if it appears the wire to the second horn has been spliced in. All single horn cars I’ve seen had the horn on the drivers side. Quote
Canuck Posted August 14 Posted August 14 1970 came standard with dual horns. I believe in 71/72 it was an option. Quote
Scott S. Posted August 14 Posted August 14 Stereo, dude..... Gotta get the full sound experience. 1 Quote
