Yesterday I attended a car show sponsored by a Boy Scout Troup.  It was a beautiful day and a great birthday.  I didn't get pictures of all of the cars, maybe only about 1/4 of them

I frequently see Grand Spurts at local shows and never seen one that disappoints, this one is not exception

This Camero RS 454 won Best of show.  It truly deserved it!!

I think the owner of this 55 Chevy lives at car cruises/shows.  I see this car at almost every one I attend.

This is a car you won't see at every car show/cruise.  A Chevy Monza Spyder.  They were known as a high performance sports car with beefed up suspension and V-8 engines

I had Buick that was the same body style as the Monza but it had an even fire V6 that was a nice car until the transmission died. Bought it for my oldest daughter and she refused to drive that ugly car so I drove it. It was a lot of fun to drive at least until it died. LOL

Happy B-Day !!!

Nice group of cars....  Still a G.N. fan. :)

I remember (back in the '80's) a buddy had one of those Monzas.

Scary with the 305 and 5 speed.

If you want to check out something interesting, check out the 18th picture, the one of the red Oldsmobile.  It has a hood latch assembly like I had never noticed on any other car.  It is a little hard to make out, especially if you are using your phone, but check out the stock set up of the hood latch system.

Rather than the pin being mounted on the hood and the latch being mounted on the core support the stock set up on this car has two pins mounted onto the core support and the latching mechanism, including the safety latch mounted to the hood as one piece.   The spring loaded latch release has a square bar that extends from the center of the hood out and is aligned with each of the core support pins.

Cute Mark but I wouldn't be caught dead wearing a watermelon.  Unlike Dennis being in lobe with banana's I don't do Watermelon.

You see, my aversion to watermelons dates back to when I was a kid.  You see, our next door neighbor was backing out of his driveway and ran over a young neighbor girl with one of the back tires of his car.  We heard her screaming and ran outside to see her throwing up what at first we thought was blood.  In reality she had been enjoying a water melon shortly before the accident and that was what we saw her throwing up.  Where the neighbor ran over her (this was when I lived in Jacksonville, Florida) she had been playing in an area of very soft sand and the sand cushioned her and other than some bruising she was not harmed.  Ever since I saw this I have just not had any desire to eat water melon.

Yes, my hair and beard is gray but it is not nearly that thick.  Gladly there are no dancing water melon emoji's
