cny first gen 71 Posted September 7 Posted September 7 Yes there is a little village called wampsville and they have one of the areas larger car shows of the year, today was it and weather was beautiful. I'd estimate about 500 to 600 cars of that I saw 5 first gens, 3 members and one guy I talked to and gave him a card the other I've talked to before. I didn't walk around a lot but I did get around and saw and met some new people too. I was parked with 3 other montes mine a couple 76s and an 85. Here's a few pictures. And one for Rob 😀 6 1 Quote
cny first gen 71 Posted September 14 Author Posted September 14 Another local show today, beautiful weather great turnout. 5 first gens that I saw all 5 are club members 😀 Bob and I parked together with his father in law. I got a couple pictures probably between 500 and 600 cars. 3 Quote

Scott S. Posted Monday at 06:15 PM Posted Monday at 06:15 PM It's funny.... As a kid back then, the general opinion was that Monte Carlos were big boats that didn't qualify as "muscle cars". More of a Cadillac than a Chevelle. But these days, and seeing that I'm not the only "big boned" guy who likes them, they don't appear that big anymore. I've actually compared them to the last gen Montes, and they have pretty much the same tire footprint, width, and weight..... Just a little more hanging out the front. Makes working under the hood a different adventure. 1 Quote
DragCat Posted Monday at 11:31 PM Posted Monday at 11:31 PM As I was adulting 🤣 I realized long hood cars made me calmer on the street. Not that I don't want HP, but its easier to control myself , most times anyway 🤣 3 Quote
