RON T Posted September 13 Posted September 13 While I’m patiently waiting for news about our host hotel info for the mini meet in Somerset, Ky.. and with such beautiful weather lately.. I’ve been changing the color of my house, slowly, a little each day. By myself. A lot left to be done , and I’ll need to rent an electric hijacker to get the high spots. It’s coming along nicely … 8 Quote

RON T Posted September 14 Author Posted September 14 My view today, taking a rest from work and painting the house. Camping at cave run lake with my wife and black lab and our little dash hound that has cancer . Her sister passed earlier this year of old age. Harley is her name and she won’t live to see another camping trip. They both loved to go camping.. this trip is for her, even tho she tires so quickly now. She always responds with a tail wagging when she sees us. Anyway. I will miss her and her sister always. Thought I would share a few pictures of her .. to me , dogs are angels sent from heaven to help us on our journey thru life… And they are thankful to have shared their life with us.. Ron T… 9 Quote

Marks71 Posted September 14 Posted September 14 So sorry to hear that about your family members. Have had dogs all my life. But not many though because they’ve all lived long lives.Have 2 now, which is a first for us, both rescues. 5 Quote
Dtret Posted September 14 Posted September 14 So sorry Ron. I miss my lab every day. We planted a tree in the dog pen when it was still up. We call it our ‘ Buddy tree’. 4 Quote
DragCat Posted Sunday at 11:34 PM Posted Sunday at 11:34 PM So sorry to hear 😦 My GSD went everywhere with me, except the race track. When I started racing the DD ( it had caution K9 decals on the back 3 windows.) My race # was 1K9, when I had to put him down I changed it to 1XK9. Still running that number today 4 Quote

willie Posted Wednesday at 12:18 PM Posted Wednesday at 12:18 PM Ron so sorry to hear this, as I also had dogs my entire life. Last one past a few years ago but we are thinking of getting another one but so hard to travel with them. Now that my daughter moved to TX it makes it harder for the trips. Looks like i grilled those burgers and hot dogs for you Ron! See now i am hungry!!!! lol 3 Quote
cny first gen 71 Posted Wednesday at 12:44 PM Posted Wednesday at 12:44 PM Dogs are a part of the family for sure, I lost my last one a few years ago and was a very hard loss I don't think I'll be getting another one because it is a bit restricting and wouldn't want to leave it alone that much. I do get to see my 2 grand puppy's though and Lisa has a dog that goes camping with us so that's enough. And there's nothing wrong with them hot dogs that's the way they are supposed to be cooked! 4 Quote
