Looking for a budget friendly 4 post lift still.narrowed down to katool..triumph...halo...anyone have any of these or know more about them. Thanks

If your referring to a 4 post drive on style lift you are limited as to what you can do on that type of lift. I prefer a twin post side by side lift for most types of work. I have used both over the years, actually earlier I had to use a front to rear hydraulic lift those were fun too NOT 😅 just make sure you have the correct floor thickness under and the proper side space and ceiling clearance. And if corse always be safe when using a lift especially if there's no one else around to get you out of a jam if you ever get in one.

Specifically built my garage edition for the lyft, I have forty five hundred p.S I concrete extra rebar and a twelve foot ceiling i'm also using it for storage, and I have a the garage is only twenty feet wide.So a two post is too wide and permanent.I can roll around the four post if I have to

I get that and you’re right. But they have to meet certain requirements to be approved for use. A Rotary 9000# lift can easily handle 10,000 but that may not be the same for other brands. I’d be hard pressed to put my Monte on a 7000# no name brand.

I got a quote for a Rotary when I built my garage, things have changed now with the 2500 Tow Truck 🤣 Hopefully next year. Local sales , install , and service. And they service the local GM dealership. I got a quote for a commercial lift, yes there are other options out there. I'm just saying safety shouldn't be dictated by price.

I'm on the same page.I talked to a couple mechanic, friends and they don't like the four post unless you bolted down so I'm thinking about a 2 post. I think I found the perfect one. It's 18 inches wider than I wanted. But I figured, if I

Can deal with it, and it goes high enough. Then I should be fine

2300 and 132 inches wide ..72 inch lift lower cause the 4 post sits at that hight but i guess yu can add adapters for trucks that would raise enoigh to store under so hard thinkin bout this. Plus safer

I’ve got the Bendpak HDS14X. It’s not bolted and rock solid. The Monte is the heaviest vehicle I’ve put on it, which is less than a third of its rated capacity. I’d probably bolt it down if I was lifting over 10000# which is never going to happen. If you’re considering a 2 post, how thick is your floor?

Brand new garage edition. Like 6 in plus 4500 psi concrete and  heavy rebar ..been planning this. Also vaulted ceiling so mid is 12 ft ..and garage door angles up not low

Holy cow. That thing is 10gs. Lol. Nice lift tho kudos ...im like 5gs and under lookin

I paid around 7 for it about 4 years ago with the caster kit and a couple other options. Everything has gone up a lot. Nice building. You’re right on the 2 post if you’re doing brakes or suspension work, or even separating the body and frame. In about 2 months or so I’m ordering a rolling bridge jack for my lift. This will add some versatility. Living in California with “the big one” always around the corner, I’d never use it for storage. I park the Monte on it which offsets the space it takes up, but it’s always down.

I know it’s overkill but I’ve got an 84 GMC crew cab dually so I needed 20’ on the length plus the extra width, which forced me into the 14000#. The truck is probably around 6400#.

Gotcha. ....better over kill than not...i love me a square body btw. Gmc made i wanna say 1989 right before thy stopped the square body. Wich had the newer interior with double lights ...think that was like a half year deal. Hard to find them any way found a halo 10000 lb 2 post 129 inches wide only. Seams to be the one ill go with great reviews..the building isnt as big as looks the half were lift is goin is 18 ft gar door and 20 ft wide unless angle in a second vehicle. Thats why hopin 2 post cause only one post be in way. Thats the theory anyway.

Sounds good. Your lift  should come with the anchors. If possible try to get 5” of embedment in the floor which will depend on how thick the plate on your lift is. It’s very important that you don’t accidentally drill through the concrete and expose the anchors to the soil beneath. If they supply 6” anchors then you may only end up with around 4”.

I don't know why, but when I was shopping Rotary, I looked at 4 post just curious. They specifically said NOT for storage. Don't know why didnt ask, just saying

Since you have the vaulted ceiling, I would go for a clear floor lift ( all the cables going over the top). If you’re rolling transmission jacks and oil drain buckets the plate can be a pain.

The only problem with that is my ceiling is exactly twelve feet. And I can't find anything overhead, that's just under also, the one with the floor deal is narrower.

I think

So found these deals on the interweb.I guess they're compatible with any two post lift and it raises by the tires. So I could probably even use a two post to store above another vehicle. That's what i'm hoping I gotta do some more research
