My 1970 Monte Carlo hood is damaged beyond being a repair candidate.   Will a 1971 or 1972 hood fit with or without modification?  Thanking you in advance for your time and trouble.

Cody is right. The holes in the 70 are small, the holes in the 71-72 are bigger. The spear for the 70 doesn't cover the holes in the 71-72. I know there is also a difference in the 71-72 but maybe someone else can jump in as i don't remember1

All the information posted above is correct. The other difference Willie is referring to will not matter in this situation. The 72( later) have a crumple zone built in the frame of the hood.

Thank you, guys, so much.  I found a nice 72 hood, and since it is a restoration, the holes are a minor issue.
