Here are a few pic's and vids of the dyno runs. I scanned the data sheets(PDF) and e-mailed them to my yahoo acct. I can get them to a file but I can't get it to pull up and load to my photobucket acct. mad If I could e-mail the data sheet file to someone that could put it in this thread that would be great. HELP!!!

And the pulls 1-3 Number three yielded the best results. The data sheet when I get it on this thread is for pull three.

Special thanks to Mike Laciura of Wildcat Performance in Adel, GA. Super nice guy to deal with and very sharp.

David email the pdf to me and I'll attach it to the post. Looks great! I have not had a chance to watch the videos yet, but will when I get home grin

Thanks Ian!!! I'll send them now.

Did you guys try any different stuff like carb spacers and different timing settings? I can't wait to see this thing in the Monte and see what kind of a beast it is!

Hey Scott,

We did play with timing and jetting. Started with 38 deg timing and jetting was 76 pri and 86 sec on the carb. Ended up pulling timing out down to 34 deg and bumped up the jetting to 78 pri an 88 sec. Picked up about 20 hp at peak and 17 ft/lbs at peak tq. Over all hp and tq curves were better with this setup. I have a Wilson 1" 4 hole tappered spacer but didn't fool with it. It was already getting late and I had been up since about 5 am.

I would assume those are dyno headers, not what you will be running on the car?

I hope you plan on doing a chassis dyno run when you get the car put back together too. It would be nice to see how much you lose when you use the actual headers/exhaust/air cleaner/transmission.

My guess is it's going to need at least a 3800-4000 converter.

Should run hard from the looks of it. More proof that a small block can make plenty of power. I'm sure you will have fun pulling away from all the 454 guys.

Yep those were dyno headers 1 3/4" stepped to 1 7/8". I have a set of 1 3/4" Shoenfelds that will go on in the car. I have sent the numbers to Craig at Coan so he can figure the re-stall on the converter.

It should be a fun little mill!!!

it's gonna be fun Dave....1 3/4" is plenty for headers, it's going to whoop some arse!! Just get it to the track and hold on....don't waste your money on a chassis dyno, it tells you nothing other than a bunch usless numbers, you've already got your motor parameters....woo hoo....go Saney Davey...

So Oh So Sane Davey, I didn't win? Oh well, it is good to be grounded. That would be one of the best running agricultural engines I have seen yet. Now go get some real numbers.Lol

rofl Yep already been approached by a couple of our local farmers needing a spare engine for their field pumps.
